MEMBER CONSENSUS » The Joe Dimaggio of movie studios, Pixar registers their latest in a string of consecutive hits with a home run that tugs at the hearstrings as effectively as it tickles the funny bone. Richly detailed both visually and thematically, Toy Story 3 not only does justice to the first two films in the series, but possibly surpasses them. This chapter allows all of the beloved characters to shine—while also effectively inroducing a whole new group of playthings—and culminates in a sweet and poignant finale that both brings a proper close to the "trilogy", and also leaves the door open for a whole new series of adventures. Smart, sweet, clever, and touching. By the final scene there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
