A slightly cynical twist on the traditional movie-rating scale, the Flick 'n' Friends drink scale shakes things up by taking a "glass is half empty" approach. Instead of rating a movie positively, with stars, members weigh in with how many drinks they would need to enjoy the show—giving it that personal touch.

Will you take a small shot at the movie and give it one drink, pour it on with a sixpack, or applaud it with a clean and sober zero? Whatever your personal rating, it's served up just the way you like it. Shaken, or stirred.

It's not a perfect system, but who out there isn't sick of all those goofy thumbs and silly stars? Don't like it? Lighten up. Maybe you need a drink.
